This project was specifically requested by the director of Macon's Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Currently the EMA uses a paper map and colors in each grid square as reports come in from first responders. It can take as long as two weeks for the county-level GIS department to turn this into a digital report. These digital reports are needed to keep situational awareness and report to state and federal level responders.
